GOM Player, the most versatile media player

Microsoft Windows is bundled with its own media player,Windows Media Player and much layered Windows Media Center which requires huge resources from your PC. With Windows Media Player I often encounter codec problem, multimedia format incompatibility and many other glitches. There are a number of free third party multimedia players available for download. And GOM Player is one of the latest I have discovered which deserves your attention also.

GOM Player is a freeware which can play practically all media formats with its own built-in codec system,,including AVI,DAT, MPEG, DivX, Xvid, and many more .so you do not have to download codecs from the net.

One thing I like most with GOM player is you can view the video even if the downloading process is on going. Broken AVI files can also be played, unlike Windows Media Player.

The interface is quite simple and design is very sleek. All the buttons and menus are properly placed. By simply clicking on the logo in the upper side of the menu, it unfolds many other submenus to choose from.

Gom Player has the flexibility of choosing many video format to play like .ogm, .skm, .lmp4, .k3g, .vob, .dat, etc.

In the Subtitles Preference Menu you can make the necessary adjustments for your subtitles like font, font size,character spacing and position in the screen. You can also apply effects on the subtitles like color, outline and shadow.

GOM player also includeds settings for sound devices. A sound effect tab is available if you want to set voice filters, reverb, extra-stereo, and adjust the equalizer.
