Jollibee’s cameo appearance on Glee was unplanned

In the recent episode of Fox’s hit musical, Glee, Jollibee icon was seen briefly in the background during a
dream and dance sequence of Artie (Kevin McHale). This cameo appearance caused amazement among Filipinos and became Twitter’s hottest trend in the past days with speculations if this was a promotional stint and intentional by Jollibee.

Jollibee’s Public Relations Manager, Arlene Adeva said their employees themselves were thrilled that their famous icon would be appearing in the show.

““No it wasn’t planned. Truth is, we were just as surprised as everyone when the episode came out”, she admitted.

“We also received an inquiry because someone watched the show in advance and tweeted about it. But we couldn’t deny or confirm yet at that time because we have not seen the actual clip ourselves until yesterday (May 19). When we finally got to see a clip, we were thrilled of course and pleasantly surprised.”, Adeva added.

It was confirmed by Adeva that the scene was shot inside Eagle Rock Mall, Los Angeles, California contrary to others speculations which is in Ohio where Glee is actually set.

Jollibee store in Eagle Rock Mall is one of the 24 branches across the US.
