Middle of this year, the design concept of flexible Galaxy skin was thought of. Recently, with numerous AMOLED technology cropping up, the flexible skin for Galaxy phone is now beginning to start its stint. With this design concept, Samsung phones will be made available in different unique shapes like clamshell, bracelet, elongated, foldable, etc. The International Business Times claims that this concept will turn into real product and is expected to launch during the second quarter of 2012. Rumors are spreading through the blog sphere like wildfire that the Samsung Galaxy Skin is also meant to be super thin and will be using a special version of Google’s mobile OS, called Android Flexy, which enables to adjust the interface according to the phone’s current position and the app it is running, as in the images below:
Taiwanese news site, Digitimes, reports that the Apple machine is running at full stream indicating that Cupertino’s outsource partner, Foxconn is manufacturing 150,000 iPhone 5 units a day. This simply implies Apple is ensuring that sufficient supplies are at hand to meet the expected demand when the device is launched not later than the end of this month. iPhone 5 is expected to be available for sale by middle of October. So all companies within the Cupertino supply chain need to operate in full swing and these include their touchscreen panel maker, TPK Holding, battery vendors, Dynapack and Simplo. It is estimated that as soon as iPhone 5 goes on sale, shipment of units for the first month would reach 5-6 million and 22 million units within the first quarter. Read the rest of this entry »

A lot of iPhone avid users are wondering what changes could be made in iPhone 5. And a number believe that the iPhone 5 will be different from iPhone 4 in terms of form factor. Some thinks it may look like the iPad 2 with tapered edges and some suggests that it will be a slimmer model with wider screen or it may have slightly different dimensions.
But analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo says that the iPhone 5 form factor will be almost the same but slightly thinner due to the smaller physical size of the camera attached. But this is just another opinion on the ongoing subject of the iPhone 5. If the announcement dates of late September, early October hold true, we should find out fairly soon what the new device will look like.
Other key points reiterated by Ming-chi include:
* 512MB RAM – Lower than we expected as it’s the same as the iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
* 3.5 Inch Display – Rumours hinted at a 3.7 or 4 inch screen in the past, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the 5th gen model stay the same as the rest.
* Slightly Slimmer Camera – As expected, but not much of a change. This “might” make the iP5 slimmer than the iP4, but not by much.
* Glass on front and back. If this is the case, we could see exactly the same design as before.
For those who wanted a new design you might be disappointed if the information by Kuo is correct. However, in our experience of reports in the past, they’ve often not been quite right.
Look how mobile phones have significantly evolved beyond just a communication device over the past decade. Nowadays, smartphones most especially Google’s Android driven phones have become entertainment hubs, game hubs, and social networking hubs.
If you are an Android fanatic and fond of playing games on your smartphone device, you may soon realize that game apps have limitations due to lack of physical control buttons. But fret no more, because a group of generous developers have just released a new Android App called Sixaxis controller allowing your Android Phone to recognize the PlayStation 3 controller as an accessory that can be used to play the games installed on your phone.
